Version 1.8 is superb software Put simply, Artoonix is a superb piece of software for traditional 2d animation. Ostensibly designed for younger users, it has all the power that any serious animator could also need. Onion-skinning is built-in so that you can remind yourself of both preceding and following frames. Creating new layers is also easy (they're called 'objects' in the frame editor) and you can easily export sequences or images for importing elsewhere as backgrounds or foregrounds. The sound editing system is probably better than virtually all professional-standard 2d animation software - making it easy to perfectly synchronise sound to animation with an accuracy ...
 Artoonix. I tried it out a bit and and think it's cool. The only thing I think it needs is layered drawing effect so you can see the previous pages at the same time but show lighter as they go back. This would inable the user to make more accurate adjustments on each frame just like they did doing hand drawings using a light box.

 Nice progam I was looking for a simple soltion to make an animated Christmascard with audio and integrated photos, and Artoonix gave me a easy way to do so.Not the most user-friendy interface, but once you get the hang of it, it works just fine.A pity it doesn't have an "animated text editor", but it suited my needs!ThnxGreetz
 could not finish the download When I went to download Artoonix from the download link, I was only able to get 5% of the install file, then the connection timed out. When I went back to the site and clicked on the link again, all I got was a blank page.

 This seems to link to a different product on the main website.Also this is listed as License: Freeware. Yet this only provides a 30 day demo?Whilst the product looked intersting if I had wanted to spend $85 I wold have chosen a paid for product. I suggest this product is mis-listed and I would be keen to actually get my supposedly free version.The animation support seems adequate although more presets would be definately be advantageous.

I am evaluating your software and have 29 days left. My first disappointment was that avi animation does not loop. I am not sure whether that is an oversight of your software or a problem in avi. Some sites on the internet of which I am a part of do not accept gif animation. I am having a bit of trouble getting the timing right in the animation, something which I found easier with my other software, Ulead animator.

Good software. The only problem is that you can\'t create GIF with videos.
 Opinion Great software! Easy to import multiple files and had no problem supporting all 231 frames that I imported at once. Actually made a banner for a friend using Easy GIF Animator 5.1.
